Chinese nylon fetishism @ ROSI.CC

Here's an interesting find from my online travels; a Chinese nylon themed photo site. ROSI.CC is in Chinese only, but via the decreasingly dubious (it's definitely getting better) merits of Google translation, we can determine a little about it - starting with the name of the photographer, Zhang Jing.

Actually, this isn't quite as unusual a site as you might imagine; there are a few Chinese glamour (those I've seen so far are too tame to be really labelled as smut) sites around, such as MetCN (being a blatant play on Met Art) and particularly Beautyleg and TPImage, which go with a similar underwear and nylons theme.

ROSI stands out in a couple of aspects. First, it's free, requiring no subscription - the sets, of are distributed on a couple of Chinese file sharing sites, and free to download. Note that as well as having to find your way around in Chinese, the files are password-protected - use simply www.rosi.cc - and one of the hosts takes exception to a number of the sets, I think finding them too racy. But if you're a nylon enthusiast, these barriers are mere trifles.

The other aspect of this site is the quality of the photography itself. As with some other Chinese sites, we unfortunately don't usually get to see the faces of the lovely (if those incredible, flawless, figures are anything to go by) models; I assume racy modelling isn't really the done thing to be seen to do in China... and/or insert your own Russian reversal-type gag (in Communist China, photo hangs you out to dry in dark room! etc). I don't usually go for faceless pictures, but Mr Jing more than makes the most of it; using overexposure, creative angles and strong bokeh to fetishise various body parts - and, of course, the clothing. There is a varied selection of nylons - tights, stockings, fishnet body stockings - that we often get to see slid down teasingly over thighs, peeled from feet and slick and shiny from the shower; and more often than not, some equally appealing underwear beneath.

The caveat is that it's all technically fairly tame; there's no actual explicit nudity short of the odd hint of pubic hair - but the style and anonymity of it seems to make up for it and enhance the fetish aspect. It's still not quite as racy or erotic as I'd like to see, given the standard of the clothing, models and locations; but it has definitely raised the bar for me from the generic photography I've seen from China so far. Cabaret Desire - new trailer from Lust Films

Via her blog, I've just found this trailer for Lust Films' new Cabaret Desire:



I'm rather fond of Ms Lust; as well as being ever, ever so pretty; she's always hugely cheerful on her blog and on twitter - greeting the world with a sunny good morning from Barcelona. I also like her approach to racy films; arguably feminist porn, with an emphasis on story and eroticism rather than just skin (although luckily there's plenty of that too)... but I don't want to pigeon-hole or label it - if for no other reason that it might appear unmanly to be so excited by it!

The only thing that makes me go hmmm in the clip is the appearance of a vajazzled actress - a baffling phenomenon that does little for me... but I'm sure it won't detract from enjoyment of the film :) Oh, and there's also a making of:

Ana Dias & Wolf189, via Photographer & Muse

Working on a couple more reviews, but meantime another quickie... happened upon Photographer & Muse, a great showcase of erotic and/or nude photography; each entry being a short series of images along a particular theme. Was lured there by Between the Sheets, by the very inventive Wolf189; and thereafter discovered another gem by way of Ana Dias' The Girl Next Door - certainly not like any neighbour I've ever had, but I guess that some folk are just luckier when it comes to that sort of thing. Needless to say, that kind underwear and glamour is very appealing, so I shall be looking forward to seeing more from Ms Dias.

House of Etiquette, via Jade Vixen

Here's a great find, courtesy of the very beautiful, sexy and charming fetish model Jade Vixen - who's just posted her interview with House of Etiquette on Lust Love Latex.

Although not quite as appealing as nylons, I'm finding myself increasingly interested/fascinated/excited by latex fetishwear. That doesn't really extend into some of the kinkier items, full-face masks and the like; I'm more into the glamour side and HOE have managed to combine the tight, curve-defining sheen of latex with my other passion - retro-style lingerie.

They've taken some very classic, sexy concepts - stockings, suspenders, girdles and bullet bras - and re-imagined them in latex, which lends a whole new dimension to the lure of stockingtops giving way to the top of a thigh, or the hip-hugging curves of high-waist panties. Add to that some wonderfully fitted outerwear (well, nominally outerwear, at least) - miniskirts, crop tops and ruched sleeve dresses, and we get the stuff that fantasies (at least mine) are made of.

Although I'm sadly unlikely to be a customer, House of Etiquette have a great niche in fetishwear which I'm more than a little excited about. I very much look forward to seeing some of their work showcased by fetish models and photographers; any number of models spring to mind who would look incredible in - and out - of their designs, but Ms Vixen is top of that list!

Gravelure de l'eau @ Wet2Nude & Wet Spirit

Given that a) the French have a particular talent for interesting smut, and b) I far prefer my racy material with an angle to it, chancing upon Emmanuel Genoll's sites Wet Spirit and Wet2Nude has piqued my interest. There are plenty of nude sites around, but I'm all for anything that provides a little more titillation and context rather than just endless naked nubile bronzed beauties we see elsewhere (which admittedly has some appeal now that I put it like that).

The sites focus on wet girls - largely alone, but sometimes with a boy or another girl - in the bath, under the shower, in a lake or river... anywhere that circumstances might contrive to render whatever (often thin and white) clothing they are wearing, very clingy and as good as transparent. The difference being that one goes as far as explicit nudity, whereas clothes stay on in the other - obviously seeing everything come off has it's advantages, but when clothed is defined as clad in soaked, skin-tight sheer dresses, t-shirts and panties, it's largely an academic distinction.

They are relatively new, still with a fairly small amount of material; shame they aren't bundled together; and as such €25 perhaps a little steep. With some great looking photos and some fun videos, still more than worthy of investigation, though!

MagCloud & Bella Morte magazine

Whereas I'm a big fan of all the smut great photography available online, I guess I'm a little old-fashioned since I still love the tactile sensation of flicking through racy material in printed form. And having recently mentioned print-on-demand books from Blurb, I figured MagCloud was also worth a mention - it's very much the same concept, whereby publishers can set up their own magazine, and it's printed on demand and delivered when sold.

My favourite find on there so far is Bella Morte magazine. Now in it's 4th issue, it's a gothic-tinged showcase of alt/fetish/pinup creators; including both well-known and new models, photographers, tattoo artists and latex couture. For example, #2 held an interview with the lovely Mosh, and pictures by the equally (well, very nearly) as lovely Redrum collaboration; but I also discovered the wonderful UK model Fae Raven. Then in #3 I was grabbed by model Carly Zu and photographer Jade Noir. Content is relatively tame, with no nudity, but all the models look so good in latex, corsets and lingerie, that's almost (almost!) a positive. And they even feature a strapping male model in each issue.

Technically, the magazine could probably look a bit neater, layout and typography-wise (old habits... I was a designer/artworker in a previous life) - but that's a minor quibble since the content is good. It's also a little expensive at $15 per issue, each about 60 pages; but that's understandable for something relatively niche. And the print quality is far better than I'd expected from print-on-demand; not quite the standard of a traditionally printed magazine like Retro Lovely; but still good quality paper and great - if perhaps a little too saturated - colour printing.

On one hand, POD services like this need to be taken with a pinch of salt - I work in publishing and a great quote I heard recently springs to mind: 'the best thing about self-publishing is that anyone can do it; the worst thing about self-publishing is that anyone can do it'. But on the other, anything that makes it more accessible for creative people to create and disseminate racy material can only be a good thing. I like Bella Morte, and will be keeping my eyes open for more racy things on MagCloud.

Quickies in New York

Following from Ms Lust, another appreciated writer for me has been Violet Blue, whose all-things-sex blog is interesting, entertaining and (at least for me) educational. One of my favourite finds therein - at least so far - is Quickies in New York, a blog of sorts consisting of erotic photos and prose.

The Dirty Gentleman's photography is some of the best I've seen in erotica - evocative and sexy, sometimes just a glimpse of a thigh or breast; others kinkier with bondage overtones. And often with just a hint of disquiet to make you think a little more rather than just ogling (although I'm doing my fair share of ogling too).

Guy New York's text fits perfectly with the images; not directly related, but you'll find yourself looking back and marrying them together according to your mood. As the title implies, the writing is never too long, each post something that can be read within a minute or two; but thought-provoking enough to echo for much longer than that. Sometimes explicit, detailing sex itself and sex games between couples; some musing on the nature of love, relationships that are, have been, or never were.

I'm hoping that a publisher snaps this up, or that they perhaps put something together on Blurb; although QNY is very much of its medium on Tumblr, I can't help feel that I'd love the tactile sensation of leafing through pages of a book as I mull over the images and text. Lust Film Fest

Have been following the lovely Erika Lust, who's beautiful smile is always a great start to every day when she tweets a good morning to the world. She's directed some particularly racy films over at Lust Cinema, which will doubtless find their way onto my (increasingly lengthy) shopping list at some point. But in the meantime, I've been enjoying Lust Film Fest, her great selection of erotic shorts and ads from around the web. I've found some very... inspirational clips there, including this rather surreal (at least in my world) vision of household chores.



It's definitely worth checking in on; and do reload the page since you don't see all of them every time!

Purrfect Pineapples / Tattoo Erotica magazine

Despite being a web developer myself, and having helped folk promote themselves their businesses online via Twitter and other social media... on a personal level, I'm just not that social and don't quite get it. However, I'm trying, and if this sort of find is anything to go by, it's worth following!

Firstly, I happened across the wonderful lingerie from Purrfect Pineapples - although I have to confess to them that I'm unlikely to be an actual customer; I like lingerie, but not in that way. (Um... not that there's anything wrong with that.) However, I do very much like their aesthetic - the potential over-cute-and-girly-ness of their amazing corsets, underwear and more, being wonderfully balanced by having the loveliest alt and fetish models - among which are Mosh, and Apnea, Lauren WK and Ulorin Vex - to show them off. As if that combination of very sexy lingerie and heart-stoppingly beautiful girls wasn't enough, they've enrolled the likes of Viva Van Story and Ama Lea to make them look even more incredible.

Anyway, you get the idea. It's pretty great stuff. But before I get carried away with superlatives, my other great find of the day was in PP's blog, they have a feature in the latest edition of German magazine Tattoo Erotica. I was going to say I'm not sure why I hadn't seen that before... but it's probably because I don't speak German. But I'm not surprised - whereas I love French erotica, I keep seeing great fetish-oriented stuff from Germany, not to mention that the majority of racy book publishers hail from there also.

Anyway, regardless of language issues, the cover promises 'Erotische Foto-Stories' which I think I can just about grasp the concept of... so I'm off to order my copy.

Racy books @ Blurb

After getting some great magazines from MagCloud, have recently discovered the book equivalent, Blurb. It's a print-on-demand service for folk to self-publish books and seems to be one of the most popular ones for photographers.

Which is great news all round - of course, most erotic photographers would like to be picked up by Edition Skylight, Goliath, teNues etc... but that's a) not necessarily easy and b) something of a minefield with publishers increasingly being pushed hard on pricing by Amazon and the like. The downside is that we don't see the bargains that we're used to - but I'm happy for the artists themselves to set the price and know what they will get from it.

Anyway, of far more interest is some of the very interesting stuff I'm seeing there, and the rapidly growing size of my shopping list! Click on the thumbnails to see previews of the books, then hunt around there and let me know if you find anything else!

Site finds: Dirty Pink Girls

No, that's what the site's called - although that's arguably what I might be thinking of at any given time. It seems that the French have a knack for interesting and exciting smut, as I keep finding French photographers and sites that really appeal to me. I'm not sure who the photographer at Dirty Pink Girls is, but I'm really liking the glamour/fetish aesthetic that I see in the previews there.

Looks like early days for the site - not that much material yet, and there looks to be a fairly limited number of sets/backdrops - but the photographer seems to work around that a little with some creative lighting. Generally I'm a fan of natural light - or natural-looking lighting, which Jam Abelanet does so well - but by being very overt with the strength and direction of lighting, he/she has got a relatively unique feel to it.

Oh, and you may need a smattering of French to negotiate the site, but luckily I'm just there for the pictures. More if and when I sign up.

Ellen Stagg - short interview

I only recently discovered Ellen Stagg - not quite sure how she'd gone under my radar for so long, given that her work is great! She does some centerfold-type work, but with enough pinup/alt-ness to it to keep it (very) interesting - and she's got quite a way with lighting and sets that sets her apart from her contemporaries.

More about her site sometime soon - but in the meantime, Brad, who I know from the forum at Petites Parisiennes, found this clip. She's got a great perspective, which makes the respect for - and obviously huge fun with - the models she works with really stand out in her photos.

Site finds: Alt Exclusive

Recently found the website of Alt Exclusive magazine, with seemingly a lot of exactly the kind of material I like to see. That is, alt/modern pinups, latex and mild kinky fetish activity. Plus there's seems to be quite a bit there featuring the wonderful Mosh, a perfect modern pinup if ever there was one - and some photography from the similarly sublime Viva Van Story.

The magazine is a little too pricey to get shipped to me here, but I can't see myself holding out too long before subscribing to the site, so look out for a review.
