Chinese nylon fetishism @ ROSI.CC

Here's an interesting find from my online travels; a Chinese nylon themed photo site. ROSI.CC is in Chinese only, but via the decreasingly dubious (it's definitely getting better) merits of Google translation, we can determine a little about it - starting with the name of the photographer, Zhang Jing.

Actually, this isn't quite as unusual a site as you might imagine; there are a few Chinese glamour (those I've seen so far are too tame to be really labelled as smut) sites around, such as MetCN (being a blatant play on Met Art) and particularly Beautyleg and TPImage, which go with a similar underwear and nylons theme.

ROSI stands out in a couple of aspects. First, it's free, requiring no subscription - the sets, of are distributed on a couple of Chinese file sharing sites, and free to download. Note that as well as having to find your way around in Chinese, the files are password-protected - use simply www.rosi.cc - and one of the hosts takes exception to a number of the sets, I think finding them too racy. But if you're a nylon enthusiast, these barriers are mere trifles.

The other aspect of this site is the quality of the photography itself. As with some other Chinese sites, we unfortunately don't usually get to see the faces of the lovely (if those incredible, flawless, figures are anything to go by) models; I assume racy modelling isn't really the done thing to be seen to do in China... and/or insert your own Russian reversal-type gag (in Communist China, photo hangs you out to dry in dark room! etc). I don't usually go for faceless pictures, but Mr Jing more than makes the most of it; using overexposure, creative angles and strong bokeh to fetishise various body parts - and, of course, the clothing. There is a varied selection of nylons - tights, stockings, fishnet body stockings - that we often get to see slid down teasingly over thighs, peeled from feet and slick and shiny from the shower; and more often than not, some equally appealing underwear beneath.

The caveat is that it's all technically fairly tame; there's no actual explicit nudity short of the odd hint of pubic hair - but the style and anonymity of it seems to make up for it and enhance the fetish aspect. It's still not quite as racy or erotic as I'd like to see, given the standard of the clothing, models and locations; but it has definitely raised the bar for me from the generic photography I've seen from China so far. Well worth a visit, and keeping an eye on. Visit ROSI.CC.

Site review: Breath Takers

Breath-Takers is one of a couple of sites featuring the work of UK photographer Michael White. I'll admit that, as with some other sites I've tried, I wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but it was bumped up my list a couple of places by a recent price reduction - but I needn't have worried, since there's some great, fun and sexy photography here.

It's hard to know quite where to slot it; the photography is perhaps a little arty, with frequent bokeh and emphasis on natural light; but I wouldn't call it art-nude (which, at least for me, would make it rather a turn-off if it were). This is, in no small part, down to the emphasis of clothing (and removal thereof) here... art-nudes tend to be just that - nudes; whereas at Breath Takers, many of the photo sets start with a fully dressed model, and follow her teasing the viewer by gradually disrobing. It's made more believable by the fact that the models actually wear appealing clothes; the kind they might actually wear themselves; and similarly underneath we get to see a great variety of sophisticated, sexy lingerie and nylons.

And of course, clad in these are some lovely models; leaning towards UK, but you'll also find French, east European and US girls. There are some well-known models, such as the (deservedly) ubiquitous Ariel and Eufrat; some lovely French models; and some others who I suspect may not be found anywhere else. Particular favourites for me were the very petite, but oh-so-sexy Ayla Sky; the elegant and naughty Joceline Brooke-Hamilton; pinup and fetish model Anita De Bauch; charming and very racy starlet Samantha Bentley; and oh-my-gosh-those-legs Danielle Maye.

The levels of explicitness vary by model here; the majority of sets end up with full nudity but within that, some models are a little coy (you know full-well what I mean) whereas others are less so, and some recent photos and videos are very racy, with some masturbation - which is welcome and adds more to the mix, I appreciate eroticism from the subtle to the not so.

Locations are also good; many photos are within a light, airy, tastefully decorated house, which the photographer makes good use of all rooms of; there are also plenty of other locations, including European villas. Some are outdoor-themed, such as walks in the park with a little teasing; sometimes these are a bit more risqué but I'd love to have seen a few more so! And I like that there's often a theme or narrative of some sort; such as a sexy phone call, reading a magazine or domestic chores - it's all the more fuel for the imagination as you browse.

Technically the site is good too; pics are 3K-5K pixels and videos 720p. There are a few navigation oddities, but it does have a good update shcedule, with 3 galleries and one video per week. And with a few years' material here, it's also easy to see the progression of the photographer; some earlier galleries are too shadowy, perhaps a bit too moody; but later ones are better lit, but still relying on natural light, and not at the expense of the erotic atmosphere.

So although it has a completely different feel to it, it's positioned similarly to Petites Parisiennes, and there are actually a few of the same models on both sites. It doesn't quite meet my one unique quality of PP, which is that there I found something I liked from literally every model; and it's perhaps not quite as sexy - but it's close, and different enough to be complementary rather than competing. Recommended, and I shall return!

Visit Breath Takers - or click on any of the pics for some sample galleries!

June at Petites Parisiennes - including a hefty price drop

We all know how fond I am of Petites Parisiennes - it's my favourite destination for racy pictures and videos; it's both characteristically French and sophisticated, and uniquely arousing - far more so than most art nude sites. This month we have two new models to look forward to: Erika, a beautiful French blonde model; and I'm particularly keen to see Nina (aka Miss Ting) whose work I've really liked elsewhere, she seems to have a lot of creative input into her shoots.

I'm also glad to see two 25+ models there this month (27 and 28 in this case); the web seems awash nude photography sites featuring an endless array of stunning, perfect, east European girls (if I ever visit the Czech Republic, I suspect I shall be ogling more than just the historic aspects) in the 18-23 bracket. But, lovely as they are, they don't quite have the allure - although this is also down to the strangely somehow explicit-but-sexless way in which they are shot.

Anyway, no such problem at PP; photographer Jam has an eye for atmosphere and arousal. And as if that weren't enough, at the moment, there is a huge 50% off - $15 is shockingly low price for the amount and quality of exciting stuff on offer here. Visit Petites Parisiennes.

Ana Dias & Wolf189, via Photographer & Muse

Working on a couple more reviews, but meantime another quickie... happened upon Photographer & Muse, a great showcase of erotic and/or nude photography; each entry being a short series of images along a particular theme. Was lured there by Between the Sheets, by the very inventive Wolf189; and thereafter discovered another gem by way of Ana Dias' The Girl Next Door - certainly not like any neighbour I've ever had, but I guess that some folk are just luckier when it comes to that sort of thing. Needless to say, that kind underwear and glamour is very appealing, so I shall be looking forward to seeing more from Ms Dias.

More smut racy reviews soon, but meantime there's a very lovely video making-of:

Coming soon at Petites Parisiennes

Petites Parisiennes remains one of my favourite haunts, with photographer Jam's unique brand of erotica; sophisticated and sexy, with a wide range of beautiful models - but far more exciting than the raft of art nudes that we see on other sites.

Looks like there's some great stuff in store in the next month or so; looking forward to seeing more of stunning, curvy redhead Alixia - I very much approve of her unshaven look, which leaves us in no doubt her colouring is natural ;) And also more of the beautiful, slim, almost quintessentially French Lysse, and ultra-cute Madagascan Kelly (painted in liquid latex, no less).

Not showing on the update calendar yet, but some preview galleries have crept in for new model Erika, looking very lovely in some very sexy lingerie. And finally, I've just learned that PP will soon be featuring French (I think) asian model Miss Ting Ting, who I've seen in a few places - am very much looking forward to seeing what racy scenarios she and Jam come up with.

Site review: Alt Exclusive

I chanced upon Alt Exclusive last month, and - as I strongly suspected - I couldn't resist the immense lure of so many lovely models, and so many great photographers. Although I don't have the physical magazine, I signed up to the accompanying site is where they post more full sets of the magazine shoots - including more nudity than makes it into print, together with some out-take videos and the like.

Alt Exclusive is a relatively new venture - now on the third issue of the magazine - devoted to pinup, fetish and tattoed glamour. That being the operative word here - I'm tempted to dispute the 'Alt' label since to me that suggests more punk/emo-type alt porn, along the lines of Suicide Girls, God's Girls and Burning Angel - which are all great sites, but this is definitely high glamour, albeit with tattoos and latex.

It's hard to know where to start describing the work here, because there is such a concentration of talent; somehow they've managed to get the top names in models, photographers and clothing designers all in one place - and I'm hugely enthused about it.

To start with, Viva Van Story has some amazing work here. Some wonderful pictures of Laura Dore, Marlo Marquise and Sharon TK, in her trademark evocative retro kitchen and bedroom scenes; but perhaps even more interesting are her more recent shots of Mosh, Jade Vixen and Angela Ryan, in more contemporary settings and in and out of some very seductive latex dresses.

And some great shots by Shannon Brooke - who I'm very fond of, since seeing her work in Korero's Kustom Kamera - including Sabina Kelly, Notorious Ang and Lourdes. Some of Ms Brooke's photos are done against a plain studio background; generally I prefer more context, but in this case, everything is spot on and they look amazing. But others are even better, contrasting the beauty of Mosh, Masuimi Max & Darenzia with harsh industrial backgrounds.

Continuing the who's-who theme, models you'll also find here include Ludella Hahn, Lauren WK, Vanessa Lake - and great to see Cervenna Fox & Ulorin Vex from the UK. And photographers Redrum Collaboration (Ludella in blue latex, on the left), Lithium Picnic (Mosh and Masuimi Max as geishas is inspired) and Monique Antoinette (Mosh and Bernie Dexter in bondage is very racy). And there are some fun behind-the-scenes videos, where we get to see the models chatting and posing for the camera.

Although the content can't be faulted, I have a couple of gripes about the site itself. It's a bit glitchy; some links to zip sets don't work, and the downloadable videos are smaller than the streaming ones. More annoying is that membership only gets you 1200 pixel images; the much-vaunted high-res, 3500 pixel versions are pay-per-download - that's per picture, not per set. The membership fee of $15 is relatively modest, but I'd have been much happier if either this restriction was obvious before joining (I see no mention of it); or if the membership was a bit higher but with access to the high-res pictures.

But, with those caveats aside, this is a good site with unparalleled and unique material. Although it's fairly new, and there are only about 80 picture sets of approx 15 pictures, they are stunning and worth joining get - and to support such a good venture, and all involved.

Gravelure de l'eau @ Wet2Nude & Wet Spirit

Given that a) the French have a particular talent for interesting smut, and b) I far prefer my racy material with an angle to it, chancing upon Emmanuel Genoll's sites Wet Spirit and Wet2Nude has piqued my interest. There are plenty of nude sites around, but I'm all for anything that provides a little more titillation and context rather than just endless naked nubile bronzed beauties we see elsewhere (which admittedly has some appeal now that I put it like that).

The sites focus on wet girls - largely alone, but sometimes with a boy or another girl - in the bath, under the shower, in a lake or river... anywhere that circumstances might contrive to render whatever (often thin and white) clothing they are wearing, very clingy and as good as transparent. The difference being that one goes as far as explicit nudity, whereas clothes stay on in the other - obviously seeing everything come off has it's advantages, but when clothed is defined as clad in soaked, skin-tight sheer dresses, t-shirts and panties, it's largely an academic distinction.

They are relatively new, still with a fairly small amount of material; shame they aren't bundled together; and as such €25 perhaps a little steep. With some great looking photos and some fun videos, still more than worthy of investigation, though!

Site Review: Holly Randall & Forever Vamp

Chancing upon Holly Randall's work, I was briefly flung back (an undisclosed number of years) to illicit reading material of my youth, featuring racy photos by her mum, Suze - only to be brought back to the present by Holly's own talents and expertise.

Having recently reviewed Ellen Stagg's Stagg St, Ms Randall's photography could draw comparisons; both contemporary photographers, and featuring many of the same models - from fetish regulars such as Mosh, Darenzia, Angela Ryan, Vanessa Lake & Jade Vixen; to some of the biggest names in more mainstream smut, like Aria Giovanni & Ryan Keely. Ms Randall focuses more on the latter, though, adding considerably to it with many well-known porn actresses, including Alexis Texas and Sunny Leone.

But I'll try to avoid comparing, by way of a disclaimer - Holly's style of photography is a little more centerfold-glamour than the kind of erotica or fetish that I'm normally drawn to - most scenes being very strongly lit, the models quite made-up, the locations exotic more than evocative. But that's purely a matter of taste, and I'll counter that by saying that the standard of her photography is never less than excellent, and that I still found a lot to enjoy there.

My initial lure, her sets and videos of Mosh, Angela Ryan and Jade Vixen, are wonderful, as are those of the other fetish and pinup models, including the stunning Vanessa Lake. But the extra explicitness of the porn models - many sets leaving very little to the imagination with fingers and sex toys - was actually a welcome diversion from the kind of latex and nylon teasing that I like so much. And even though it's not normally my area of interest, I'll confess to enjoying the hardcore extra-racy photos and videos - perhaps it's because they are shot by a female photographer, but I found them more balanced and considered than most porn.

Now, although much of her work is arguably relatively mainstream, there's glamour and there's glamour, which brings me to one of the sister sites, Forever Vamp - subtitled Ultra Glamour Fetish, that's as apt a description as I'd be able to come up with. Here we see the glamour angle ramped up even more, but focusing on latex, alt models and pinups - just my territory, although I'll admit that some of the BDSM shoots out-kinked me! But with a great selection of models and fetishwear, for me this is the perfect direction for Ms Randall's talent and style - and although the site is relatively new, and with not much material yet, I'm looking forward to seeing more there in the future.

A brief note about specs - the sites are easy to browse, search and switch between (with number of additional sites included); recent videos are HD - my main complaint being picture resolution - OK-ish at 1600px, but I'd rather see at least 2000, preferably 3000, especially from such a well-known photographer. But such quibbles aside, the sites are great fun, and definitely worth joining.

Quickies in New York

Following from Ms Lust, another appreciated writer for me has been Violet Blue, whose all-things-sex blog is interesting, entertaining and (at least for me) educational. One of my favourite finds therein - at least so far - is Quickies in New York, a blog of sorts consisting of erotic photos and prose.

The Dirty Gentleman's photography is some of the best I've seen in erotica - evocative and sexy, sometimes just a glimpse of a thigh or breast; others kinkier with bondage overtones. And often with just a hint of disquiet to make you think a little more rather than just ogling (although I'm doing my fair share of ogling too).

Guy New York's text fits perfectly with the images; not directly related, but you'll find yourself looking back and marrying them together according to your mood. As the title implies, the writing is never too long, each post something that can be read within a minute or two; but thought-provoking enough to echo for much longer than that. Sometimes explicit, detailing sex itself and sex games between couples; some musing on the nature of love, relationships that are, have been, or never were.

I'm hoping that a publisher snaps this up, or that they perhaps put something together on Blurb; although QNY is very much of its medium on Tumblr, I can't help feel that I'd love the tactile sensation of leafing through pages of a book as I mull over the images and text. Site review: Stagg St

Upon discovering Ellen Stagg - which I did only recently, I think via, er, browsing at The Mosh Room - I was immediately very enthusiastic about her work, and I knew I wouldn't be able to wait long before signing up to her site, Stagg St.

An initial first glance, her style may seem mainstream; a look through the list of featured models will reveal many popular glamour and porn icons, such as Aria Giovanni (who is entirely adorable), Jelena Jensen, Justine Joli - and particularly serendipitously, at least for me, Ryan Keely. But between these, she also shoots a similar number of fetish models - eg Darenzia, Mosh, Marlo Marquise, Emily Marilyn, Angela Ryan & Jade Vixen.

And she makes all these lovely models look wonderful, with her considered, respectful-yet-sexy style. On one hand, she focuses more on the fetish aspect than some more typical centrefold photography that you may have seen many of the models in; on the other, the alt and pinup models aren't quite as glammed and dolled up as you'll see them elsewhere. That may sound like it's not one thing or another; whereas actually it's quite unique and charming.

She uses natural light to it's best effect; there are some very atmospheric shots making the very best use of light streaming in through windows, and consequent shadows. And although I'm no expert, when natural light isn't enough, she seems to eschew the full glare of typical glamour studio lighting, in favour of a more documentary-type flash. Similarly, she has a knack for choosing great settings - the many realistic locations lend context, but still with a measure of glamour.

Now, all that might sound a bit analytical; it needs balancing out by simply stating that there are a lot of pictures of very beautiful, very sexy models, in - and most definitely out of - some very lovely lingerie; the whole premise is huge fun and very exciting.

The only downside is that technically, the site is a little sparse - there are no zips of picture sets, and the resolution is fairly low at 1080 pixels - from such a good photographer, I'd rather have seen pics that can at least fill my screen, landscape shots noticeably blurring when they do; and there's also no categorisation other than by model. (I guess I'm a little spoiled by Jam's facilities and huge images at Petites Parisiennes).

Some folk might argue that the small quantity of pictures - approx 15 per set - is a problem too, but I see it as an advantage; I suspect Ms Stagg has ruthlessly edited her shoots and pretty much every picture is spot on, with no fillers.

So overall, despite some limitations of the site itself, Ellen Stagg has quickly become one of my favourite photographers and Stagg St is recommended. I just hope she gets picked up by a publisher to do a book or two - she does have one, but self-published and a little expensive, so something I'll have to save up for! Visit Stagg St.

Site finds: Dirty Pink Girls

No, that's what the site's called - although that's arguably what I might be thinking of at any given time. It seems that the French have a knack for interesting and exciting smut, as I keep finding French photographers and sites that really appeal to me. I'm not sure who the photographer at Dirty Pink Girls is, but I'm really liking the glamour/fetish aesthetic that I see in the previews there.

Looks like early days for the site - not that much material yet, and there looks to be a fairly limited number of sets/backdrops - but the photographer seems to work around that a little with some creative lighting. Generally I'm a fan of natural light - or natural-looking lighting, which Jam Abelanet does so well - but by being very overt with the strength and direction of lighting, he/she has got a relatively unique feel to it.

Oh, and you may need a smattering of French to negotiate the site, but luckily I'm just there for the pictures. More if and when I sign up.

Site review: Petites Parisiennes

I think I discovered Jam Abelanet while looking through the site of Fine Art Photo magazine - a bit of a pretentious name (who are we kidding here?) and  features too many of the kind of arty nude beauty-of-the-female-form shots which  I find terribly dull. In some of their pages, though, certain shots leap out, and one from Jam's Fantasies Souterraines book was one - which actually resulted in my buying his other book, Les Petites Parisiennes.

I was sufficiently captivated by the lovely models in it, and the more-than-a-hint of complicit voyeurism in his pictures capturing a day in the life of the girls. From the charm of stolen glimpses of her waking up, to the surprisingly erotic images of getting dressed - the latter involving a wonderful array of sophisticated lingerie, the kind that (I like to think, at least) women would buy themselves, as opposed the gaudy stuff that we see so often in glamour photography. Not to mention the thrill of some rather naughty pictures in public places!

It wasn't long, then, before I succumbed to the lure of the accompanying site, Petites Parisiennes - and was glad to find more of the same - although no less inventive - type of pictures. Actually, a whole lot more - there are a stunning collection of models there, some well-known, and some only featured here - all of varying shapes, looks and ages, and all pretty in different ways - more glam than girls-next-door, but in no way carbon-copy glamour gals. It follows a similar theme - a number of photo sets of each model, following their day - some are intimate pictures in their own apartments; some more glamorous studio shoots and again, some pretty racy outdoor and indoor locations.

Somehow, Jam - who is very responsive and affable on the forum - manages get something new on there every day - either a photo shoot, or a video; which range from the voyeurism of watching the model get dressed, via some cute interviews, to the occasionally racier ones where they find a little more - ahem - satisfaction.

For me, what qualifies this as erotic photography as opposed to art-nudes or porn (neither of which I have anything against) is the context that Mr Abelanet brings to the pictures. Borne out, I think very tellingly, by the fact that I found pictures I liked there for each and every one of the fifty-odd models. (Either that or I'm just unfussy.) I'm being fairly restrained with my thumbnails here, but here are a few racier samples, by way of: my weakness for nylons, the obligatory shower scene, and - excuse my kinkiness - actually getting dressed (well, up to a point). Oh, and seeing as this is a review of sorts... 9/10!

Site finds: Alt Exclusive

Recently found the website of Alt Exclusive magazine, with seemingly a lot of exactly the kind of material I like to see. That is, alt/modern pinups, latex and mild kinky fetish activity. Plus there's seems to be quite a bit there featuring the wonderful Mosh, a perfect modern pinup if ever there was one - and some photography from the similarly sublime Viva Van Story.

The magazine is a little too pricey to get shipped to me here, but I can't see myself holding out too long before subscribing to the site, so look out for a review.
